Description:
Now that you have learned the basics of machine sewing, it’s time to learn skills that will help you tackle more advanced projects.
We’ll start with a quick review of machine sewing basics and move on to:
- Reading the instructions for constructing the box-bottom bag
- Measuring, marking, cutting fabric, and pinning for machine sewing.
- Seam sewing, back stitching, seam finishing and/or French seams
- Folding and sewing hems
Leave this class with a canvas box-bottom bag that you created. The bag will be sturdy enough to stand on its own, and useful for everything from groceries to library books (or even your sewing supplies!).
Materials: There is a $12 materials fee payable to the instuctor at the start of class.
Please contact the instructor with any questions about materials, or any other matter. Her email is: camoct@gmail.com
