About the instructors:

Shehab Hossain: I am a visual artist specializing in urban night photography, particularly light painting. My work transforms familiar cityscapes into otherworldly scenes. I use long exposures to illuminate objects and locations, manipulating light and shadow to create dramatic compositions.

Inspired by science fiction, I incorporate light-painted orbs as portals to imagined dimensions. These glowing spheres, meticulously crafted within abandoned spaces, invite viewers on a journey beyond the ordinary. My approach blends theatrical techniques with cinematic framing, guiding the eye through layers of light and shadow.

I explore the interplay of artificial and ambient light, capturing the essence of time and place. My award-winning photographs have been exhibited internationally and are featured in private collections worldwide. I currently reside and practice my art in Boston, Massachusetts.
