Description: Have you made a basket before and are ready to extend your skills? This class is suitable for both advanced beginners (age 12 and up) and intermediate basket weavers.

Learn to weave two baskets in this 3-session class. The first basket is round and about 9” in diameter, with cane trim. We will also weave a Farmers’ Market Basket (you can choose from two sizes: an 18” x 10” or a 15” by 10.5”), which is ideal for gathering veggies in the garden or for holding purchases at a farmers’ market. All tools and materials will be provided.

Note: This class takes place three consecutive Saturdays: October 19, October 26, and November 2.

About the instructor: Betsy Fell first learned to weave baskets in the Adirondacks. Basketry is an old craft that offers a way to create something functional, long-lasting, and beautiful. Weaving baskets is a lot of fun because there are always new techniques to learn, new ideas to explore, and endless possibilities for design.
