Description: 

Do your personal or professional photos need some improvement? If so, this four-week, virtual, iPhone photo editing course is for you. Join award-winning photographer Ellen Foust to learn the basic principles of photo editing including how to crop a picture, adjust the light and color in an image, and completely remove unwanted objects from a photograph. 

You will learn how to use two apps to accomplish what the experts do in PhotoShop! You will be amazed at the improvement in your photos and what you can do on just your phone (or tablet). Class format includes: how-to skills demonstrations, homework (practicing skills on photos provided by the instructor), and reviewing homework. Bring your iPhone or tablet to class and be prepared to have fun!

Prerequisites: Participants will need an iPhone or tablet to participate in the class. Prior to the first class they should download Snapseed (free) and TouchRetouch ($3.99). 

Notes: 

-There will be no class on November 23rd. 

-Zoom information will be provided prior to the first class.

About the instructor: 

Ellen Foust is an award-winning visual artist and photographer with a passion for teaching. Her experience spans darkroom to digital, portraiture to landscapes. She holds an MA in art history, an MEd in education, and has studied at the New England School of Photography. Ellen's bold, graphical, award-winning photographs explore the interactions of light and weather on a scene or object. Ellen currently teaches iPhone photography at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, at Brandeis University and UMass Boston.
