Description:

Do you have a dog-damaged or cat-scratched upholstered chair that needs new life? Learn the art of upholstery with master upholsterer Kevin Kennedy. Reupholster the piece yourself and be amazed at the transformation—and at how much fun the process can be. The class covers old school and modern methods and materials for antique, 20th century and contemporary furniture. Learn to disassemble your piece and pad, cut and apply fabric in a step-by-step approach. Bring your own piece and discover old world and modern techniques to create a beautiful centerpiece for your home.

Note:

-Please limit to chairs and other small pieces. 

-There will be no class on the following two dates: April 15th and May 13th.

-The tuition covers the fee for a materials kit that students will receive from the instructor during the first class.

About the instructor: 

Kevin Kennedy has been in the upholstery business for more than 40+ years. He began his career at Ruby’s in Waltham where he was tutored by European Masters. Kevin picked up extremely fast and in a few years he was considered a professional himself. His first store was Kennedy’s Upholstery in Wellesley. But it wasn’t until he opened up Upholstery On Broadway in Arlington and expanded his brand onto youtube that people started picking up on how talented he had become. Upholstery on Broadway has now been open for 8 successful years and his Youtube channel has over 14,000 subscribers.
